Delta Tau Delta preaches excellence, and at Indiana University we want our members to know that their hard work is not going unnoticed. We offer a variety of scholarships that are growing in number and in sheer monetary value every year. Members can start earning scholarships as early as their senior year in high school through our National fraternity and can continue earning scholarships offered by our chapter throughout their entire college career as a member of Delta Tau Delta
Study Room: The newly revamped study room, dedicated to former Beta Alpha, Fred Eichorn, has given brothers the opportunity to study in an atmosphere that most would consider comparable to the library. With four computer stations, a printer, and multiple study tables, brothers are able to get their work done without having to catch the bus or make the 15 minute walk to the library.
Academic Teams: Teams are created among four brothers whose GPA’s are averaged at the end of the semester. The three teams with the highest GPA’s are awarded $500, $250, and $150 respectively, to each member of the team. Team members can also earn extra points for their teams by attending extra study tables during the week.
Scholarships: Multiple scholarships are also awarded to members of Beta Alpha, scholarships offered include:
- Highest Annual GPA (Robert A. Lucas Award) - Awarded in the fall to the Active in each class (Sophomore, Junior, and Senior) who achieved the highest GPA in the previous year. $1000 each
- Law School Scholarship (Leon Wallace Award) - Awarded to a Delt attending law school. $1000
- Ireland Scholarship - $1000 - $3000
- Pledge Scholarship (James L. Miller Award) – Awarded to the recent initiate who achieves the highest GPA in the semester of his pledgeship. $500 each
